What is Vastu?
Vastu - The Earth. Vaastu or Vaasthu is termed as the rule or science of the Earth for construction of any man made structure to get maximum gains from it in our life to attain peace, prosperity, fame, health, wealth and happiness. It also tells us how to avoid diseases, depression and disasters by living in structures, which allow the presence of a positive cosmic field.
According to Vaastu Shastra the five elements - Earth, Fire, Water, Air and Sky - govern the principles of creation. These forces act for or against each other to create harmony and disharmony.
Vastu Shastra comes from the same tradition as yoga, meditation, ayurveda and vedic astrology. Vastu is the yoga of design, bringing balance, health, harmony, inner peace, order and unity. Vastu enhances and connects us with the source through proper design.
Vastu Shastra in scientific terms: A very powerful axis of magnetic energy emanates from the Northeast to Southwest. Obstructing the free flow of the energy in this direction, can spoil the health-wealth and total turmoil of the residents or of the commercial establishment.
According to Vastu Shastra, energy lines run like a large grid across the Earth, from North to South and from East to West. The electromagnetic field thus generated, affects the human body at the cellular level and controls the organs of the human body. It is believed that when a structure is placed on Earth, the equilibrium is affected because it breaks the electromagnetic field grid. Hence, this needs to be restored so that the energy flows harmoniously.
The goal of Vastu Shastra is to restore balance between the building structure and the cosmos because when buildings echo the underlying cosmic principles, they vibrate in harmony with the universe. These vibrations also affect the inmates of these buildings in a positive way creating peace, prosperity and money in our lives.
Vastu shastra says that if the structure of your house is so designed that the positive forces override the negative forces then there is a beneficial release of bio-energy, which helps you and your family members to live a happy and healthy life.
Vaastu Shastra has Universal Applicability and no Religion boundations are involved in it.
